Rolling Stoner’s 100 Years of Prohibition Edition
Not a dangerous substance or weapon—but something as natural and healing as a rose or sunflower.
And yet, for 100 years, those who grew it, used it, or even supported it were branded as criminals.
And this edition is dedicated to the voices, lives, and moments that were silenced, lost, or oppressed along the way.
We’re looking for original, powerful, and thought-provoking artwork that explores the deep injustices of cannabis prohibition alongside the hope that’s begun to rise in recent years. Your work can be raw, emotional, hopeful, gritty—or all of the above.
The eerie blue of a police van’s lights at night, casting shadows on young boys in handcuffs.
A huddle of bodies in an overcrowded jail cell.
A survivor’s silent stare.
A bowed head in shame.
A lone farmer standing in a cannabis field.
Bob Marley rising in colour against a grey background of oppression—music and plant as symbols of hope.
We’re looking for art that tells the truth—hard, human, honest—but still carries a flicker of hope.
Even just a single ray of colour.
Each piece will be part of a larger effort to shine a light on the human cost of prohibition—and the power of healing, art, and cannabis to bring change.
