Lekker Leaf Launches a Fresh Brand Identity

Lekker Leaf, based in Cape Town, is refreshing its look to put more focus on plant-based wellness, traditional medicine, and community.

Lekker Leaf has launched a new brand identity that builds on its familiar style and shares a bigger vision for the brand.

The new logo makes the cannabis leaf less of a focus and puts more attention on Lekker Leaf’s Cape Town roots.

With these changes, the brand feels even more tied to Cape Town, showing the mountains, Table Bay, sunsets, and hinting at moments like iftar gatherings on the Sea Point Promenade.

While the old logo focused more on cannabis, the new design shows Fatima’s deep connection to traditional healing as Founder and Director of Lekker Leaf.

The Bigger Branding Picture for Lekker Leaf

In her Rolling Stoner Session, Fatima shared that before starting Lekker Leaf, she was on her way to becoming a traditional healer.

This broader view of plant-based medicine still shapes how she sees cannabis today. She sees it not as the whole traditional medicine toolkit, but as just one part of a much bigger healing tradition.

The new logo reflects this broader perspective. It still features the cannabis leaf, but also highlights the mountains, water, and natural scenery that tie the brand to Cape Town.

“Cannabis has always been an important part of Lekker Leaf, but it has never been the only plant that matters to me. My interest in traditional healing taught me to look at plants as part of a much bigger system of knowledge and wellness. I wanted the new identity to reflect that, while still feeling unmistakably Cape Town and unmistakably Lekker Leaf,” says Fatima.

Expect the Same: Delivering the Best Bud For The Community

Even with the new logo, the brand’s focus on quality, care, and community stays the same. You can still visit them on Wynberg Main Road, where the store offers off-street parking, perfect for anyone wanting to stop by for traditional medicine supplies.

“For our customers, the heart of Lekker Leaf remains the same. We still want to be a welcoming space where people can ask questions, learn and find products that suit them. What the new brand gives us is a better way to show that cannabis sits within a much broader conversation about plants, wellness, culture and traditional knowledge.”
