ROD Festival 2026 Brings Reggae, Comedy and Dam Experiences Together
Press Release Issued By Still I Rise
This September, Hartbeespoort will host a new waterside festival. The Reggae & Comedy On The Dam Festival promises festivalgoers music, laughter, food, and entertainment right by the dam.
Known as the ROD Festival, the event will be held at Legacy On The Dam in Hartbeespoort on Saturday, 26 September 2026.
Still I Rise Production is presenting the festival in partnership with Leno Media, NX Productions, D Lion Photo Magazine, Ivory Park TV and Legacy On The Dam. The organisers aim to offer more than just music by blending live entertainment with Hartbeespoort’s scenery and tourism.
What Is Reggae & Comedy On The Dam Festival?
The Reggae & Comedy On The Dam Festival is built around three main elements: reggae, comedy, and the Hartbeespoort Dam lifestyle.
Visitors can enjoy live entertainment, food, social spaces, and views of the dam, with the festival running from midday to 22:00.
ROD is all about giving adults a unique destination experience, but there is also a community focus behind the event. As part of that commitment, the organisers plan to provide dignity packs for girls and boys, as well as raincoats for children in need.
A Festival Built Around Hartbeespoort Dam
The location is simply amazing and is going to make the ROD Festival stand out from other local live events.
Legacy On The Dam places festivalgoers right next to one of Gauteng and North West’s most popular leisure spots, letting organisers plan activities around the water.
If you want more than just stage shows, there will be extra dam activities to enjoy.
Options include a speedboat ride for R2,200 per boat (up to seven people) and barge cruises at R300 per person for groups of up to 35.
There will be two cruise options, including a sunset cruise at 17:00, which will allow the festival to extend beyond the stage.
